Thank you to GM of Huntsville AL for her UFO sighting.

My sister, daughter and I were returning one night from Kansas City International (in the mid-'80s). We had just gotten my parents on an early evening flight out. My sister was from Missouri and my daughter and I were just visiting.

It had started to get dark and my sister thought she knew a shortcut back to her house which was several hours away. We started down US71 and then she turned off and took several different turns and we found ourselves on a 2-lane road in the country. About 3/4 mile down the road, I noticed some bright, flashing lights.

I thought at first that it was emergency vehicles. I said something to my sister who was driving and she started to slow down. As we approached, she slammed on the brakes. It had started to get a little "foggy" out, but we could still see quite clearly.

We saw a very large, round craft in the middle of a field. It had red, yellow, and green lights, and they were continuously blinking. It reminded me of a stoplight. I wanted to get out, but my sister screamed at me to stay in the car. We slowly proceeded toward the craft. It was very large and oval/round. Suddenly, it took off, straight up in the sky. I looked at my sister and my daughter and their mouths were open too.

I remember telling her that I didn't think we had any aircraft that could do that. I started to open my door to get a better look and the object dropped back to the ground, just barely hovering
above it. It maneuvered in ways I'd never seen an aircraft move. We saw a farmhouse close by, but that was all we could remember.

Then the craft started slowly coming toward us, still in the field. My sister started backing up the car and I told her to stop. As soon as we stopped, it stopped. When we moved, it moved. It was almost as though we were playing cat and mouse. I told my sister to move forward again and she did, very slowly. It stopped, and we stopped.

We sat there waiting to see what would happen next. After what seemed like a few minutes, it shot straight up again and then went forward just as fast, over the farmhouse, and back to an area that we could not follow. Needless to say, we were all shaking and excited.

It seems that we lost some time. By the time we walked into my sister's house, it was almost 4:00 in the morning. We figured that we lost about 5-6 hours. We all slept very well. The next day, my daughter kept telling us she had a dream that we'd all seen a UFO. That's when we reminded her that we had actually seen one.

Thanks to the anony mouse for this one

Another place in Caryville is just down the really steep hill from the graveyard, there will be a dock down there, if you shut off your lights and roll down your windows (Keep in mind that your car has to be facing the river)look to your left and a pair of red eyes will show up, and they will get closer the longer you stare and DON'T make a noise. (see how long you can last, it's freaky I've tried it!!)

Someone posed a question today that uncovered a truly amazing story. So below I will reprint portions of what they sent to me.

Akon was a spaceman who was visiting a gal named Elizabeth Klarer in S. Africa when the S. African Military / Gov committed an evil act by shooting down Akon's Flying saucer using a particle beam the design of which was obtained from the Roswell wreckage. It was a terrible act. I must now find out if Akon survived the crash and capture. He was doing great things for our planet and was a supremely gentle soul, constructive and positive in all regards.

It was foolish to shoot down his craft for the lust of propulsion technology, what an insane act!

What has happened to Akon and his co-pilot Haben?

Now here is an interesting report that just came in. I love my job.

This weekend a friend an I were out taking a hike in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area in Southern California when we saw this large, unidentified machine rolling along over the rocks and sand. It had a strange looking sail in front, and a tent-like structure in the middle. It was emitting this weird humming pulse and a type of laser was coming out of the side and appeared to be scanning the ground. I got out my binoculars to take a closer look, but couldn't seen any one in or near the thing. I was really afraid, the things just seemed creepy, so I didn't try to get any closer and I hurriedly left the area.

Thank you to Adnohr Yak for this story

I was 13 years old when our family took its first vacation not to “Grandma’s house”. We drove from Upstate New York to a land far, far away, “Florida”.

For most of the trip, the backseat of the Chrysler was a battleground for my two younger siblings and me. A window seat was most desirable and I would kill not to sit in the middle.

After what seemed like an eternity of Dad singing “Sound Off” and Mom trying to separate us kids in that limited space, we arrived in St. Augustine, Florida.

Historical things have always interested me. I was very excited to see the fort. I recall hurriedly reading a plaque in front of an old school as we made our way past it without stopping.

As we entered the courtyard inside the fort walls, the five of us walked side by side like the Earp Brothers going to the OK Corral. There was family conversation, but I do not remember the words. It was hot and I wanted to run wild after being cooped up in the car.

Dead ahead, in a corner of this seashell cement landmark, “someone” caught my eye. Above a small doorway, there was a tiny (glassless) window with a beautiful woman filling the opening. She had curls of red hair, and an ornate costume of frills. I thought everyone could see her, so I made no mention. My first thought was, “Cool! People dressed up in period clothing.”

Immediately, I made a beeline into the doorway directly below where the beautiful woman was perched. No one exited or entered. I stood alone in the claustrophobic-sized windowless room. There was only a primitive ladder going up through a hole in the ceiling. Full of curiosity of what I would find next, I eagerly climbed toward the portal. I couldn’t wait to see her.

As my feet hit the second floor, I circled my body around with wide-eyed amazement… the room was empty! My mind was worked quickly assessing the “nothingness”. The ladder was the only way into the room, and the only way out, with the exception of the window.

But, the space where the lovely lady gazed outside was now unoccupied.

There was not another soul in the room.

I walked up to the window and looked out at the people walking in the sun, just as she did.

Thank you David, for reporting your experience.

I will tell you straight out that paranormal things seem to happen more to me than others. however, to this encounter I will discuss I had witnesses.

In early spring in Williamson Valley Arizona I was walking with a woman I had been preforming crystal healings on for pain and healing of whiplash with her 10 year old daughter. We were walking to where I lived about 1/2 mile from where she lived in the Arizona countryside. There were no other houses or people around.

I was talking about spirituality, the woman, Dottie, got my attention and said, 'David, what's that?' I looked and had to say, 'I don't know' there before us and to the left about six feet off the ground and ten feet away were three spheres, each about five feet across and forming a perfect triangle. They were amber-red in color and glowing. It was about 2pm.

We stopped and turned to look at them. We were silent and in awe. This was the last thing I remembered before hypnosis a few months ago except that after being mesmerized for what seemed like a few minutes the spheres suddenly began to move away from us and towards a distant mountain at about 100 miles an hour immediately from a dead stop.

The spheres stayed the same distance from the ground as they rose over ridges and dipped into valleys till they disappeared behind the mountain. It was granite mountain and the place of a 12,000 acre wilderness area.

You would think we would talk immediately about what we had just seen, but we didn't. We walked the rest of the 100 or so feet to my place and sat down. We small talked for a few minutes, then Dottie said, 'its getting late, we better go.' It wasn't till then that i realized it was getting dark outside. it was about 1:45 pm when we left Dottie's farm for my place and it was now about 8:30 pm. I had lost about 7 hours. I have no idea what happened.

Recently I have been to a hypnotist to remember more. Under hypnosis I remembered there was a loud tone from the spheres like a middle 'c' from a tuba, then there were shapes on the ground behind it that appeared from nowhere. They were translucent, domes and right angles, then there was a ramp that looked solid and about 10 feet long and 5 feet wide that came from the translucent craft suddenly. After remembering this I regained consciousness. I haven't remembered any more as yet. I plan to go back for another session.

What of Dottie and her daughter? They would never discuss what we had seen that day and I lost track of them about 15 years ago.

They say it would have an indoor roller coaster simulating an alien abduction. Alien Apex Resort could be done as soon as 2010. Maybe they can mix a Mayan Calender end of the world with an Alien invasion.

It would be very cool for something to make good use of the of the whole Roswell 1947 mythology. Most of what I have seen in the last 3 years of living here is pretty cheesy and lackluster. The 2006 festival was just terrible. A search through the July 2006 archives will quickly yield my optimism of the event, and then my dismay of what I actually saw.

Being in this city for very long, you start to adopt a habit of expecting less and less of what it has to offer. Thus trying to prevent a constant disappointment in this city. Yet in my personal experience I have to keep aiming lower and lower and still find myself sad over the reality that I still expected too much. I do truly feel alienated at this point, which I suppose does fit with the purported history of the city.

So anytime I hear of something good coming to Roswell, I start to perk up a little with hope and optimism. This is my home now, and I've tried to embrace this place. So if there are people out there that can show me all that is good in Roswell, please share it with me and the site. I know I need the optimism, and I can sense that others around sorely need it too.

I can say that this part of the country is a very beautiful area if you head nearly any direction out of town. The sand dunes, white sands, the mountains, the valleys heading to the mountains. The desert flora and wildlife. I could go on and on about all of the interesting things I've seen on the few adventures I've been on around here, that each one could be traveled to and experienced in less than a days time. Now if only I could find that same kind of feeling without even leaving town.

One last thing to close todays ramble. There was a kid working at the gas station yesterday trying to get me to sign a petition to stop the nuclear plant from being build near the city. Nuclear technology seems to have a negative connotation to a lot of people. Modern plants are very safe, and provide something that is sorely needed more and more every day, energy. From the small amount of reading material I was mailed, it would seem that this one for Roswell, would be burning the waste that would normally be slated to be buried into the Yucca Mountain Nuclear Waste Dump. Mmm, what a delicious sounding place, and hey it provides no energy, as far as I know anyway. So I would gladly risk living near a place with a small chance of disaster, that is providing a wildly needed service. Than to support the continued dumping of deadly waste into the ground that'll stay that way for a long, long, long time.

By the way gas was $3.30 and nine tenths per gallon today for the cheapest gas in Roswell. That's roughly $20 for 6 gallons of gas.

This in from an anonymous source:

Masonic Cemetery is in Saint Helens. it's called the rock pit. We went there tonight, and we were recording the front of the gate, and heard words, but couldn't hear. Then heard a guy crying and saw 3-4 things running across the gate in video.

You drive up the road until you see the gate and it will say Masonic Cemetery, and when your leaving Columbia City you'll take a right. You will see truck drivers in the parking lot, then we went to kinder and in the video we heard "let me through", and then *sigh*.

While this isn't the best produced piece of work out there, that you will see. It certainly does deserves a play, it's real people going out there and doing it.

On Friday May 25 at noon my time (Mountain), I'll be on When Pigs Fly with Andrew Feder. I've just now signed up with archive access to bbs radio, so I could prepare for the show. I'll also be writing a few outlines that I can fall back to if my memory gets stuck, as it sometimes does.

I'm still a little nervous, but hey it's just a telephone call in reality, right? One that everyone is free to listen to. Thanks to Andrew for the plug of the site that he did on the last show.

So tune in and see what happens, should be fun to say the least.

On Sunday a couple friends stopped by asking me to go out north of town adventuring with them. So I did, or I wouldn't be telling you, would I?

Here are a few of the pictures.

Thanks to hotfish for this report.

My mum used to see me walking around the flat when I was actually sleeping in my bed. I once lived in a haunted condo in Hawaii - the spirit showed himself to me several different times. The only logical explanation is restless spirits - in my opinion.

Just got this comment in a few minutes ago. Thanks Alex!

My friends and I just went to the church Saturday night, 5-19-07, and absolutely nothing happened. The old women who lives next to it, who owns it told us it is a dangerous place and was used a long time ago for satanic rituals. The windows on the second floor are painted black yet there is no way of getting up there. I went there with a group of 12 and no one experienced anything evil. There is a house before you reach the church where we had a video camera and caught some footage of something strange that appears to be an old women. That place may be haunted.

This is sort of a test to make sure I didn't break anything badly when upgrading to the latest version. I'm tired, had a day out in the sun exploring the outdoors north of town. I should have a few photos to post tomorrow. Have a good night all.

Thanks to my Mom of this report.

I live in Roswell N.M. and work at Job Corp on the old Army base, in the kitchen. I have had some strange experiences there. On more then one occasion I have heard women talking very softly, so that I could not make out what they were saying I have heard a woman laughing, and one night I heard a woman call out my boss' name. When these things happened I was either by Myself or one other person was with me and they heard the same thing, also the place was locked up and no one else could have came in without me Knowing it. Of course at the time I walked all around to see if anyone else was there. one time in the middle of the work day I saw a huge Black shadow in the shape of a man running, but it was not on the wall or floor it was just in the air. That one felt like it was something dark or evil, if that makes any sense. None of these things have really scared me, I have just accepted them , I really believe that there are things that I can't prove or explain but they are real. I would like to add that I don't hear voices or see things when I am not there, so I don't think I am crazy, unless, I am just crazy part time.

This absorbing A&E program profiles three families who are certain that specters and other strange phenomena inhabit their homes. From a Midwest clan that enlists a ghostbuster to a Pennsylvania family followed by spirits to 11 different houses, these stories could turn doubting Thomases into believers. On the other hand, skeptics may prefer to accept the logical explanations of historians, psychologists and a prize-winning physicist.

Well it would appear that even on something sold to it's customers as extreme and uncensored that you have to be careful what you say.

I'm not going to go into what was said, because I don't really care. What concerns me is where will they stop, I mean everything no matter how innocently said or meant will offend someone. Just because I don't like something that I don't even have to look at or listen to, does that mean I have the right to have it take it away from the people that do want to listen to it?

It's beginning to seem like there are people out there making careers out of ruining other peoples careers. Those ruiner's are doing more harm to freedom than those out there that are offending people. I find the ruiner's overly offensive. Not only do they seem to have the right to decide what they want in the media, they also seem to have the right to decide what I do and don't get to hear or see? That's stupid! In my opinion.

I'm not going to defend what Opie and Anthony said, in fact I did not read it or listen to it. I've only listened to them a hand full of times. In fact the station even had a disclaimer telling me that I might not like what they have to say. I was well aware that they were shock jocks as soon as they started talking. That kind of programming doesn't really interest me. I do believe you have the right to listen to it if you so choose too though.

I don't like what politicians have to say, as I hardy believe what they have to say. Around election time it seems like their message is shoved down your throat, they even bang on your door to get your support. I don't have to answer the door, I don't have to listen or believe their message just because they say so.

I don't like that two major organized religions come knocking on my door weekly trying to sell me their beliefs, yet I do not go to their church. But you can if you so choose.

See we have choices, we may not like everything around us, but other people may like those things that we do not. Is it our right to choose not to partake in things we wish not to? Or is it our right to take those options away from others.

I believe in freedom above almost anything else. When you start taking away peoples rights you are stealing their freedom. Freedom doesn't mean you will like everything around you. Freedom to me means I get to choose the life I get to lead and make the choices and mistakes that I wish to make. Not someone forcing it upon me.

One last thing before I shut up. The is no security without freedom, there just isn't. If you let others decide on YOUR security, then you are at THEIR mercy. How long will it be before they decide that you are a threat to security, and are removed from society. Where is YOUR security then? Your freedom is surely gone at that point. Think about it!

Here is a sighting from Jay. Thank you Jay.

I've had an interesting sighting riding with my brother on Lawyers Rd Union County, which looked to be a man crossing the road right before a bridge. My brother and I saw the same thing, he vanished before getting to the guard rail. Weeks later telling what we saw, A family member and her friends had seen the same man at the same place.

Thank you to Callihan for sending this in.

Hi. I live in Grayson, KY. My great grandparents are John and Otha Callihan. [Olive Hill Poltergeist] My dad was around 12 when all this happened. He himself has witnessed pictures flying off the walls and bottles spewing open.

The family moved several times to get away and were followed several times by the poltergeist. My great grandmother lived into her 90's. Before she died family members noticed strange occurrences of things moving. This case has been documented in parapsychology journals. It is not a myth but a true ghost story.

I'd seen a headline floating around the net, about the story. As there are so many stories of everything on the net, I can't get to them all, and this was one of them. I was listening to Ian Punnett's show via streamlink from last night's show. Hey that's wrong, it was Friday night's C2C AM show. Anyway Ian mentions Philip Workman's execution, and that for his last meal he requested a vegetarian pizza, and for it to be given to a homeless person. Well the Tennessee prison decided the homeless person wouldn't be getting that pizza that night.

Ian heard word of it, and through his regular daily radio gig, he organized for a runaway teen shelter there to have many pizzas in the name of Workman.

You can easily google more on the subject, Workman Pizza, will get more results than Ian Punnett Pizza.

Would someone please be able to help the site out with a blogads invite, or perhaps even something even better? Traffic keeps building, and should continue to do so. I would like to keep advertising to a minimum annoyance level, yet a nice revenue level.

So basically it doesn't get in the way of readers reading, yet gives the paying advertiser value for their money spent.

Of course if someone wanted to throw some money at the site, to remove all advertising that would work too. Not trying to get rich off of ghosts and aliens, but it sure would be nice to have some investigations well funded.

On a related note, the forums has an area for promoting your products now. It's free to post to them. If there is something offensive posted it is likely to be removed. So just use common sense.

Does anyone have any idea what this is? Creative viral marketing, the real deal, a joke, a hoax?

It caught my attention, but it's late and I'm tired right now. So I thought I would share the video and the description that goes along with it, and let everyone else see what they think. So here it is.

The BBC fired me for no good reason, watch the video for proof. These words 'frozen indigo angel' were inserted into my work and are cropping up all over the place. What's going on and why wont the BBC admit to it? Does it go beyond the BBC? If you see or hear these words *anywhere* please let me know:

My mom and her boyfriend, took these photos somewhere in Texas last month. Thanks guys.

I hope it's obvious that these are man made. Nothing alien going on here, just some cool artwork.

I'm not a typical reviewer in any sense of the word. I certainly form options about things, and then will share them with people. So I've decided to review Andrew Feder's Book, When The Angels Have Risen, in a manner probably different from most.

I liked the book, once I was able to get into it, it was hard to put down. It was a quick, and interesting read. That's my brief opinion about the book.

Now lets jump to some links.
Andrew's Site: http://www.andrewfeder.com/
The book for sale at:
Amazon.com
BarnesAndNoble.com

And now for Andrew's Radio Show: When Pigs Fly

The book has biblical figures going to outer space. There are pot smoking aliens. Romantic situations between humans and aliens. Missing time, some Star Trek mentions. A plan to save the world. Even a civil war, more or less between the red and blue states.

Red bull gets mentioned for a couple paragraphs when referring to how a bright flash of light looked. I liked the part about it not giving you wings. I can agree with that. In the last hour I've had a red bull, two droppers full of sub lingual B, 3 cups of coffee, and I can't stop yawning.

Ok, let's see here. It mentions Jerry Fletcher's life leading up to his moving to Las Vegas. His distaste for the government, IRS for one, screwing him out of his life, multiple times. He gets a job in graphics, it talks about his coworkers. A back story on them so to speak. He gets invited to go hiking, which he does, and that is when the story really starts to unfold.

He goes on board an alien space craft, befriends an alien, of course. Who where you expecting to be up there, Pat Sajak and Vanna? They chat for a while, before sending Jerry back to Earth. Meanwhile the news media, his friends and authorities have been looking for him.

Once back, there is a sassy reporter that stays around him for most of the story. Somewhere around in here, is where he discloses what happened to him, to the reporter. They are constantly flirting with each other.

There is a speech at a University common area, that sparks civil unrest, and protesting. Leading into an all out war and Jerry becoming a wanted man. This does get resolved, and the world is more or less saved, at least from what we are shown in the book.

There is a little more going on after that. But I can't just give away all of Andrew's book, now can I? The book is certainly worth a read, and from my recent searching it looks like others feel the same way.

I was given an interesting 3rd hand verbal report of something truly strange.

A woman goes to a garage sale, and purchases an antique mirror. She gets home with it, and sometime later cleans it all up and hangs it up above her bed. Her daughter comes by her home to visit, and uses her bathroom.

On her return to the other room, she asks her mother when she got the picture of the man. The mother confused, asks her daughter what she is talking about. The daughter says to her mother the picture of the man above her bed. She tells her there is no picture of a man above her bed, but rather a mirror. So they both go into the bedroom to check it out. Sure enough it's a picture of an angry looking soldier.

The mother knew for a fact that it was not a picture when she purchased it, yet an antique mirror. It no longer hangs above her bed. She is not afraid though, and it does hang in her home.

I created a share folder over at filemojo.com today, I was testing out some beta software for them. Works great by the way. While playing around with it, I uploaded 74 UFO related pdf files.

There is a lot of good stuff there, taking up several hundred megabytes of space. So feel very free to check them all out. http://www.filemojo.com/groups/?u=MyUFO&g=UFOFiles

Don't worry no need to sign up for anything to get these files.

With the recent destruction of Greensburg Kansas, or rather 95% of it, by tornado. I thought I would upload the video that I shot at Fran's Antique Mall a few months ago. I had a strange occurrence there, something leaping off the shelf at me. The woman running the place did say after the fact that the place was haunted.

The town my dad moved from just a few weeks ago was destroyed shortly before I moved here 3 years ago. Stockton Missouri. It's very sickening seeing such destruction. I would just like to send my best wishes to all of those people and their families.

Greensburg was an interesting town, and I'm glad I had a chance to see it, before it was destroyed.

A question came in yesterday about getting permission to go to a specific place. This is where we need to be careful. If you go onto someones property without there permission, you are trespassing and could get very hurt, or in trouble through numerous ways.

So I want to always suggest that you contact the owner or caretaker of the property that you want to investigate. That's going to make things so much safer. They'll probably know things about the property that you would not be able to find out otherwise.

There are many ways off the top of my head to get this contact info for someone that can give you permission to get on a property. Tax records, Neighbors, Phone Books that give info by address, rather than just by name. Plus if you already know a little about the place, which I assume you do if you're looking to go onto the property. Use the internet to search about it, then when you find a new phrase about the place, then use that to search about the same place.

So basically you use one fact to find other facts, then hopefully uncovering other info you did not know of. Until you are eventually led down the road that want to be on.

So please, do a little leg work, don't get arrested, don't get killed, don't get injured. Lastly have fun, and perhaps you'll have the living hell scared out of you.

Tom who lives in Jamul, suggests that someone is pulling out leg about. As there are no train tracks in Jamul, and the would not have been as recently as the 1950's. Thank you for the nearly instant feedback.

The legend seems to be that in the 1950's there was a school bus full of children that got hit on the railroad tracks. The bus broke down, then of course a train appears and hits the bus. I've heard of this type of story many times, for different locations. There not always exactly the same, yet they tend to share aspects.

How much of it is reality, that I am unsure of, and I don't want to take a wild guess on either. Because it's very likely to have happened a few times since buses and trains have coexisted. I remember seeing a story on the news in the last year or two about a recent one at the time.

Usually if you park your vehicle on the tracks, so the legend goes, you will be pushed one way of the other, usually uphill off of the tracks. Then if you inspect your vehicle you will see the hand prints of small children. Once again, is it real? I haven't seen it, nor have I been to one of these places. I would love to go, and check it out. Since I haven't I will just leave it open.

So, here is where I need the reader's help. It's probably been a couple afternoons ago, I was contacted by someone trying to locate the one in Jamul, California. Probably occurred in the 1950's. I've been unable to locate anything really giving a good location on this. So if someone would please share the whereabouts of this place I'd be grateful for that info.

A reader by the name of Ashley was recommended to this site by a friend. So, I would like to say a very big thank you, to the both of you. Now for her experience.

Hello,

I heard about this web site from a friend. I used to live on Carl Rd. in Woodburn with my mom until I moved out. I'll be the 4th generation to of owned that piece of land.

Ever since I can remember every step I took felt like it was being watched. Day or night that never mattered. One night I sat in front of the computer while the whole house sat dark. I looked out the window and saw a pair of head lights comming and I knew I needed to put on the lights outside other wise my mom would be left in the dark.

That meant I better get my butt moving other wise I would hear one heap of a lecture, so I bolted... When I came to the kitchen our x-mas lights had been plugged in... WOOOOOO ok I didn't do that I said out loud, then continued to go turn on the outside lights. I ask my mom and she never turned them on. I'm not sure though that you were talking about our place.

Ashley

I'm working in the forums today. Added some avatars, changed a few settings to better ones. I'll be browsing packages and mods also. I want to enhance how the forums work for everyone and boost user participation, through useful features.

Tommy Allison had posted a message in the forums, of some very interesting work he has done. He is what he had to say with pictures included. Enjoy, and thanks to Tommy.

I just did the forensic reconstruction on The Starchild for Lloyd Pye. I am an artist, and now a forensic sculptor.

I thought I would share pictures, to see what kind of impressions you all might have of the face, and accuracy.

Thanks

This information comes our way from Shudder bug. Thanks!

When I was a kid in Lewistown we used to go to the Mcveytown "lights". I've seen them, although didn't think it was anything that couldn't be explained. I'd like some information on these lights, and if there has ever been a reason; swap gas, lights from a distance reflecting in fog ... etc. I'd also like to know if there has ever been a book written about these lights.

Thanx

The best I can tie it to would be the Joplin Missouri, Spook Lights. Which I remember my dad telling me stories of, that he would go to see them as a child. They would bounce on the cars and go inside of the cars also. There are other locations where strange lights appear. If they all fall into the same category or description, that I don't know at this time.

I contacted the sites current hosting company, with my concerns. They answered back politely and nearly immediately.

http://www.hostingmatters.com/ has not only been a reliable hosting company for me, they also addressed my concerns for the time being. This is great. That's one heavy problem tackled for now. More time to focus on the rest.

First off let's start with a big hearty thank you all everyone that comes to this site. So thanks everyone, even the tasty aliens! The site had a great month in April, 36,138 visits, and 79,288 pages viewed.

This site is about ready to out grow it's available hosting. Perhaps very soon. I had that in mind, from the beginning of getting the current hosting package a little over a year ago, so I host most multi media content off site. That's the secondary hosting account elsewhere. They do not have the same kind of control panel, or reliability, so pushing all the site stuff over to them is not a good option either.

The main host for this site, hosting matters, while reliable will not be cost effective if I need to upgrade the account very far. This site does currently get enough, from the adsense ads you see on the site to cover the current hosting fees, and could even cover a SMALL upgrade of service. It certainly can not afford a server of it's own at this point, as I would love for it to have. The most viable option at this time would be to get a vps account with a reliable host. The stands for Virtual Private Server, which usually gets you decent storage space, sometimes plenty of bandwidth depending on the plan you get. It also ensures that you get a certain portion of the resources available on the machine it's location on. Meaning more reliability under ideal circumstances, than the type of account we are using now. While usually being cheaper than a dedicated server.

I looked it up, and the site can keep the current account it has and pay $1.50 for every extra GB of bandwidth it uses per month. That will end up being too expensive. The account can be upgraded to double current bandwidth, and pay 3.3X a month more. That's a 60GB per month account. That might hold for a little while longer, yet it may not be that long. That comes to just over 83 cents per GB for that extra 30GB. I know discussing this may seem ridicules, but there are some serious decisions to for me to consider here.

I'm 30 years old, with a whole lot of years ahead of me to live. I've recently been doing this site full time, or more. I'm now in a position to make some important contacts regarding the subject matter this site offers. Yet the site is basically only producing enough money to pay for it's hosting. At the moment I have no other source of income. I have to survive, so if go completely broke, which is a very real possibility, there is no site anymore. Unless I were to sell it to who knows, and they turn it into who know, probably something that charges the people who come here, or something even less desirable. I have no plans to go that route.

It's very likely that even though the site is ready to really take off, and gain some really great content directly from the field so to speak. That I will have to just push this site to the back burner and probably neglect it, so that I can survive. That's the option that I hate, but a realistic one.

So that's why I've been typing away at this long, possibly boring, non alien probing post.

So I'm reaching out to everyone here. Please give me some options here.

So I'll add some points below that I've come up with, feel free to expand on them.

1. The site seems to be reaching about 1000 people a day

2. I have no problem with adding additional blogs to this domain for related content, and more authors.

3. Adsense in it's current form on the site, will not be good enough for this site to grow into what it has the potential of.

4. I'm located in Roswell, New Mexico right now, so I'd be glad to meet here locally with anyone. Please contact me of course before just stopping in, or I might be a little paranoid about who in the world you are, and who sent you.

5. I do have a tripod, and digital video camera, so we could do some interviews, and on site investigations, which is why I got them in the first place. I've invested a fair amount of money and a lot of time into this site, I really believe in it's potential.

6. I have everything except the actual t-shirts to start printing custom shirts for the site. I have some fun slogans, and ideas for the shirts. I also have myself and another individual to do artwork for them. So I'm considering trading custom shirts for donations to the site. They would get a cool shirt in their size, and the site would be helped out at the same time.

7. I would like you encourage you all, to keep telling people about this place. You've done a great job so far, and I really appreciate it. Any experiences your willing to share, are greatly welcome as well, and you don't even have to tell me your name. My email. Video and pictures are welcome also.

This post is plenty long, now. So let's get things wrapped up. I have a contact I'm going to talk to, if all goes well, we might have mountains more of information. I'm going to keep looking for and talking to people about getting this site some better hosting, so we can have mountains of information. I don't want this site to die, and I don't think you do either. I'm going to pursue viable options to keep us up and running and growing.

I want you to know that you are appreciated, and your input is also welcomed. So thank you everyone and have a great afternoon.
