Haunted: Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake, Wisconsin; Reported: November 17, 2007

Some people think it is haunted. In the end it comes down to opinion. There is no valid way to prove, or disprove a haunting at this point. Catching a hoax, would possibly, be a way to show that a haunting is not true. Yet no place is going to have activity 24 hours a day, so sometimes a hoax will happen in a haunted business to keep customers happy. Meaning the place is really assumed to be haunted, but the real ghosts do not keep up with the demands of the tourists.

is dartford cemetary really haunted im curious to no cause i watched a haunting an seen it has any body been to dartford cemetary an noticed any thing happining.

This last summer four friends and i went to the cemetery to check things out because we had seen the episode on "A Haunting". When we got there we walked around for awhile and eventually found the mausoleum and we decided to sit on it. After awhile nothing happened so we went back to the car. When we got back we split up and wondered back into the cemetery. A friend and i met back up while the other 3 friends were on the larger part of the cemetery we went to the smaller older part. After walking for a lil while we noticed 3 kids running around on the side so we ducked. My friend made sum noise to try to scare the kids off and when we looked again they were gone and now a couple was walking out of the cemetery holding hands a a dark figure was standing at the edge looking at us. We ducked again and when we came back up all the figures were gone so we hurried back to the car to wait for our friends because we thought we were going to get caught. As soon as the others showed we left. We just thought they had been regular people in the cemetery watching us which seemed weird to us. When we got home we looked up what to see and thats when we realized what we had seen!

i saw the story on discovery and went there with my son and a friend and we didnt see anything or get pushed off the grave we sat on it for over an half hour so i dont think that it is real

i watch A Haunting every day. Im very interested in gosts and spirits, i dont believe that i've ever seen one but this show has made me want to reserch this subject. i think i have an idea where my husband and I are doing for hallowing this year....

I know that ghost are real.I went to Gettysburg about 2 years ago and caught ghost on some of my pictures.Everybody wants to see a ghost,It could be very dangerous to mess with things we know nothing about.Take it from me.......GHOST ARE REAL.....

I believe in spirits, and i also think the cemetery is a sacred thing,, it is the home of the Dead, and it should be respected as such,, I think the kids at who visit Dartford, disturbed the spirits, and should not take that lightly!!

Its usual to see or to perceive some event paranormal. In places that were significant for them. And thus it does not scare to us, because they do not hurt to us. We think that they protect to us and they take care of to us.Related of the cemetery events, if they do not know what it is, do not expose. Much less without knowing why these spirits are so angry or if there is powers of black magic or Satanism.
Its very different to see a ghost related to your family and another one see powers of the evil. All that related with the evil can hurt, or cause mental problems such as depression or the suicide when exposing itself to this type of things, BE CAREFUL

I am a Medium and i did go to the Dartford Cemetery (with my mom i am only 13) I sat on the moseleam and the ghost was mad he screamed he shouted he ttold me to leave then i went flying off the mosileam my mom was scared i told her to go to the car i told the ghost why i was here he said that i tresspassed and i should leave if i wanted to live i asked his name there were then three one was Peter and Abibgal and Cheif Highknocker they were mad Abibgal and Peter were little kids they were mad too i had desturbed them. they said they gaurd the cemetery that anyone who doesn't belong will know it and then they were gone i went back on top of the mosileam and there it was the 'crack' which is not a crack it was the spirits rising from the grave or returning as i was pushed off again then i heard leave and i left but not without a personal escort.

I believe that everyone has or at least had a sixth seance. I think we have it and lose it at a very young age, due to the fact that when we are little we are so to speak "programed" to not believe in ghosts. As a child when you hear, see, or experience anything scary your parents first response is to tell you that the boogie man is not real or there is no such things as ghosts. I think that is how we lose our ability. It could be that animals can feel or see unexplained things such as ghosts because nobody tells them they don't exist. This is just my opinion but the next time you are around a young child around 2 or three...watch them...and ask yourself why do they always have conversations with no one there? Or why sometimes they point or stair into an empty room. Maybe its not so empty after all.

i was from puerto rico i wach right now the hunted program in discovery channel and i think its so cool even i don't really beleave in ghosts but i really interested in this cementery and now am thinking in visit the cementery.the program was so cool and scared!

I really think it would be interesting to have this place checked out by TAPS. I don't live anywhere near WI but it would be really easy for someone who does live near to get ahold of TAPS. You would just need to go to their website and you can E-mail them with all of the information.

ok I watched a haunting yesterday and i believe it. There are alot of skeptics out there but you know there is alot of activity. I have had expieriences at the hotel where my dad works in Maryland. People tell me its just my imagination but i think there's another world out there lurking in the darkest corners and the most terrifying places watching and waiting for someone to come find it.

i'm only 12, but i know this paranormal activity is real. my dad told me he will take me to dartford cemetery soon. sometimes i cam sense that someone is there or watching me. its so weird. i'm going t find out if the dare comes true.

I agree with Jonathan on this.

In a way, it's a little like if you went to a neighborhood where they had been lots of crime reports. So you go there to see for yourself to see if you can watch any crimes happen. Maybe you walk around for a few hours, as far as you can tell you didn't see any crimes whatsoever. So now you are saying to yourself, there isn't any crime here.

My advice would be one of two things to try, either go with no expectations, just go exploring, and enjoy yourself. Or, do some research before hand, to find out what things are common in a paranormal experience, and approach it as an investigator.

I've been to the woods many times in my life, and I don't think that I've ever seen a bear, mountain lion, or a wolf in the wild. I could be pretty disappointed with the woods, or I could just enjoy the outdoors.

I came all the way from North Carolina to see this haunted graveyard me and some friends and we didn't see shit.They will tell you anything on t.v. Maybe your luck will be better than mine

Does anyone of you know where has the episode of A Haunting about the Dartford Cemetery been filmed? I mean when we see the guys in the cemetery.

We went last night. The cemetery is kind of split in half. One side is older, the other newer. We were there for at least 40 minutes. Nothing strange happened at all. No noises, no figures. My boyfriend sat on the monument for awhile, but nothing pushed him. I included some pictures of the monument, the grave of the indian chief, his stone, and a few interesting graves I found. Those graves had inverted pentagram stars on them. I don't necessarily think they're satanic though.

I too had watched the airing of this suposed haunted cemetery. I plan to go there this summer myself and find out what is really going on. I too would like to know what web site those boys had gone to and found out about the cemetery.

Like many of you, I watched the show on Discovery Channel about the Dartford Cemetery and I'd love to go there someday. But I live in Quebec, Canada, so that's quite far away from Wisconsin. I've been interested in paranormal stuff for a long time, and I always like to watch "A Haunting" on television. But according to the show, I think that spirits can be very dangerous too, so I don't know if going to visit that cemetery at night would be such a great idea! But if someone among you does it, try to take some pics or videos, or even audio recording, I think that would be awesome! Also, I was wondering if any of you had already thought going there with their dog, 'cause everyone knows that animals are more sensitive than humans, so I think this would be interesting to see how the animal would react to that haunted place! Finally, I was asking myself if anyone who went there at night and sat on the roof of the mausoleum had ever tried to sit back again on the roof after being pushed off by a ghost?! I don't know if that would make the spirits more angry. I don't tell you to try it, but if someone ever tried to do so, I'd like to know what happened! Anyway, if you go there at night, don't ever go alone and always remember that spirits can be very dangerous, so always keep in mind to be very careful!!

so I just watched "A Haunting" on Discovery myself today, and believe it is true for sure.

I know a couple of posts said that they went there and nothing happened. Sometimes, I think it depends on how receptive you are to the supernatural.

Anyway, what I thought was more weird was the posts dates on when people had just watched the show: They were Dec 11, Jan 11, and I watched mine today on April 11, 2008. I think the universe is sending me a supernatural sign of some questions I have in the back of mind, as my birthday is also on number 11....okay maybe not so spooky, but look for signs yourself if you want answers--they are out there.

the reason i say to be careful of shadow people in cemeteries is because they can latch themselves on to you and then you would be experiencing such as things moving around by themselves, hearing voices, seeing things, severe personality change, such as lashing out at family and friends and extreme feeling of lonliness, despair, depression, etc. If this happens you need to seek help for a minor rite of exorcism or exorcism.

I was brought up to believe in only one ghost and that was the "Holy Ghost". No other ghost in the world can hurt u or come near you. I watch the show all the time and is just amazed on how close some of the things going on close to my home. I live in D.C.. So many shows have things going in Baltimore MD and in other places around here. One day I will go and visit just when my kids are grown, and I have no one to look after but myself.

I am an avid Ghost storie reader, and I love A Haunting! I have seen them all, Where I work is haunted, but this truely facinated me! I hear peaple call me all the time only to find no one there!, unfortunately I live in Oregon, cant go to this creepy Graveyard!

Sorry all you thrill seekers. I attended GreenLake School and my Grandmother lived across the street from the haunted cemetary. From personal experince and I as a kid spent alot of time wondering through the cemetary, looking at the old head stones. Visited the chief many times. Never saw a thing at night Even at halloween. And this legend. When did this come about. Never heard of such a thing. I think it comes down to someone putting the idea in your head and then fear takes over and wow You get pushed off. I believe in the life after and have had things happen to me that I can't really explain. But in the Dartford cemetary. NOT. Just a story that someone came up with.. Just my thought on the subject.

As of the dartford cemetary, my mother and father in-law are buried there. Next time I go visit them I'll ask them if it's haunted!! No really, my husband grew up in Green Lake and I lived there for years. And I do believe in the supernatural. We never heard of it even being remotely haunted!! Try 5 minute road in Wisconsin!!! What a trip, literally!!!!!
