Direction of Travel for UFO(s): came from the north, went to the west

Further Description of Sighting: I thought I was looking at a large star that I had never seen before. It began to move in a straight line but at times it wavered from side to side slightly and then would travel in a straight line. I couldn’t see the two lights blinking on either side until it got closer.
I cannot remember whether the lights were red or the same bright white as the ufo itself… I think they were bright white. It did not follow the usual flight path of planes that travel above my apartment. I was shocked when it seemed to change direction and head west above my apartment building to a point where I could no longer see it.
I wanted to run inside to get my camera so that I could take a picture but it was traveling too fast and I did not want to miss anything. I think all it would have looked like was a bright dot like a star.
