Further Description of Sighting: Extremely bright light falling straight down. Thought it was a meteor but it was straight down. It was daylight but the sun was starting to set the light was much brighter than the setting sun. Looked like a prosperous flair falling but it was much too large.

I saw it. Thought it was a plane or missle going down
Was driving westbound on Ave 12, Madera county between Hwy 41 and fwy 99. Looked like it was going to hit near Firebaugh, Ca., but apparently was far out over Pacific Ocean. Spectacular! Looked for hours on the net and tv but heard nothing until the next day.
I saw something similar in the sky on the same day but it was around 7pm est. I was driving south on I75 in cincinnati, oh and saw 4 bright oblong objects flashing lights in the sky. At first I thought it was a plane but it was flashing lights and making designs in the sky. It was traveling so fast I couldn’t catch up to get a closer look. I didn’t see anything on the news or net either
I saw something very strange on 11/7/2009 also at approx. 6PM CST in southern Minnesota sky traveling East at a high rate of speed, slower then Meteor but at least 2x jet speed bright white no trailing tail then suddenly it stopped and split evenly one part went the same direction and the other part went in exactly the opposite direction.
