Location of Sighting: Mid Coast Maine, driving from Portland airport to Boothbay Harbor
Shape(s) of UFO(s): Oval/Round…..best description I could say is under-carriage of a football field…huge
Size(s) of UFO(s): under-carriage of a football field…huge
Color(s) of UFO(s): It was dark, but industrial looking and lit up…white/yellowish lights
Number of UFO(s): 1
Distance of UFO(s) in sky: Very close to our car, I’d say 10′ above our car and it was descending off to the right whle we were driving
Direction of Travel for UFO(s): It was descending..we were driving towards boothbay harbor from portland and it was going to the right of our car towards a field!
Other Known Object(s) (For possible reference, or contrast): We were the only car on the road in the middle of the night
Further Description of Sighting: I’ve never had an experience like this before. We were on our way to get married! A long weekend with friends and relatives.
Just the two of us were driving an SUV from Portland Airport to Boothbay Harbor Maine, I forget if it was the 15th or 16th of September. It was 2008. It was 12a.m. or later!
We were driving on the highway, nooone else was around. We were talking, singing along with the radio. My now husband was driving the suv. I was looking out the window of the passengers side and above us, to the right—but really above us, I saw:
A LARGE— all I can describe it as is “under carriage of a football field” oval shaped ship. It was lit up!
I said “holy x!%$%$%$ holy !%$@%@%@%@” several times.
I looked for a logical explanation, like…was I just seeing a reflection of the stereo or our belongings in the window….BUT NO! It was really there.
My husband kept driving, and the “ship” seemed to go off into the trees, by a field off the highway—but we kept driving and didn’t decide to turn back and investigate!
My breath was taken away and to this day I can’t stop thinking about it.
Who knows what is was!!?!?!?!?!
I keep researching online to see if anyone else reported anything!?
